RED SKIES AT NIGHT....WE HOPE
WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS

After the owner of Jacobson's Marina in Frankfort called Lyle yesterday to recommend not traveling to Frankfort today, the group discussed and collected forecast and wind information. Lyle and Steve elected to wait a day for, hopefully, better conditions. Webb and Kathy, aboard Private Reserve, made a run for Frankfort early this morning. Most of their trip was in mild seas. Then it got rough. Coming out of the Manitou passage, they reported 4 to 5 foot waves on their nose. For Webb to report slowing to 13 knots, we knew it had to be rough. The last five miles were slow and bumpy, but they arrived safely at Frankfort.

Lyle spent his morning preparing health news for WGN's Bob and Marianne program. Judy was at the laundromat, since the washer/dryer aboard the Heidi Ho has limited capacity. Steve and Joyce are relaxing. Well, maybe not. Steve was seen cleaning the Sea Haven. Weather in St. Ignace was sunny and mild, but, as forecast, windy. At mid-afternoon a line of storms came through and the wind changed from the northwest.
