SHINGLES PROTECTION PLUS

By March 31, 2026No Comments

The shingles vaccine is recommended for people over fifty and for those younger with immune system issues. Preventing the terrible pain of shingles should be reason enough to get the vaccine, but another reason has become obvious. Researchers at the University of California Riverside reported to the American College of Cardiology that the shingles vaccine has been found over and over again to reduce heart attacks, strokes and deaths—in addition to protecting against shingles. The study involved more than one hundred thousand people who had at least one shingles shot. In the first year following vaccination, protected people were forty-five percent less like to suffer any major cardiac event and sixty-five percent less likely to die from any cause compared to unvaccinated people.
