LOOKMAXXING

By May 28, 2026No Comments

Statistics show use of anabolic steroids has declined over the past several decades, but Michigan State University researchers suggest it is still a problem. They report in Annals of Epidemiology that the current generation of teens and young adults, mostly males, are softer on the disapproval of steroids and more accepting of muscle-enhancing products, including creatine. The study notes the rise in social media trends that glorify extreme self-improvement—referred to as lookmaxxing. While use of creatine supplements is legal, their use may be accompanied by other pre and post workout routines that can be harmful to teens, including highly caffeinated pre-workout mixes or energy drinks.
