Certain compounds in foods, known as antioxidants, are capable of neutralizing harm in the cells for greater protection. Many types of antioxidant supplements are available, but not all antioxidants offer the same benefits, so researchers in Japan developed a blended antioxidant supplement to improve spatial cognition and memory in laboratory animals. It even improved muscle durability. The publication is in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. With memory loss associated with several debilitating diseases affecting older people, researchers suggest custom blended antioxidant supplements may also be beneficial in preventing memory loss in humans.
