We often run across research that is not yet widely available for humans, but which offers promise of better health in the future. Such is a landmark study at Texas A&M University. It suggests symptoms of aging in our brains might be reversible with a simple nasal spray The spray dramatically reduces brain inflammation, restores the brain’s performance and significantly improves memory. Lead researcher Dr. Ashok Shetty notes age-related diseases like dementia affect the entire world and, writing in the journal Extracellular Vesicles, says the research shows brain aging can be reversed to help people stay mentally sharp. In partnership with the National Institute on aging, development of this two-dose nasal spray may one day replace invasive and risky procedures.
