We are what we eat has never been more true. New research from the UK published in the journal Nature, suggests profound links between food choices and brain health. The dietary choices of 181,990 participants from the UK Biobank were analysed against and a range of physical evaluations, including cognitive function, blood metabolic biomarkers, brain imaging, and genetics – unveiling new insights into the relationship between nutrition and overall wellbeing. Overall, a balanced diet, compared to a less varied diet, provided the best brain health, but another observation by researchers that starting a good diet early in life also pays dividends.
