MENTION-IT

By October 1, 2024No Comments

MENtion-it is Cleveland Clinic’s annual educational campaign aimed at men, addressing the fact that men often do not mention health issues or take steps to prevent them. This year, a national survey of men, grouped by generation, showed ninety-five percent said living a healthy lifestyle is a top priority. Answers to other questions dropped significantly. Men in older age groups were most likely to get yearly health checkups. Only one-third of younger men. Younger men said they’ve never, or not sure, if they’ve ever had their blood pressure or cholesterol checked. Monitoring such key indicators is crucial because it can often signal a larger underlying health condition. So, men, especially young men, just MENtion-it.
